There’s a new, sleek cryptocurrency wallet on the market. After about three months of a limited beta release, the new Edge Wallet (formerly called Airbitz) finally went live a few days ago.
Edge wallet is live! 🎉
The @EdgeSecure Wallet, like the Airbitz Wallet before it, utilizes our open source, best in-class “Edge
Security” architecture, which has been successfully protecting millions of dollars worth of user value since 2014.#BTC #BCH https://t.co/yjVInYnvNO

As of Thursday, this easy-to-use cryptocurrency wallet has been downloadable and the feedback has been pretty good so far:
This wallet has a really clean and modern feel to the user interface, and it can support a number of top cryptocurrencies. More importantly, this wallet offering has had a spotless track record when it comes to keeping its users’ coins safe and free from hacks.
Apart from that, there are a few reasons that this crypto wallet is going to pose a serious threat to the likes of Electroneum and even Coinbase.
Just watched somebody try and move their #LiteCoin off Coinbase so they can receive the airdrop from the #LiteCoinCash fork (happening TODAY!), but Coinbase said it will take 48-72 hours. 😳

Little differences like that can make all the difference to crypto traders when they’re comparing cryptocurrency wallet options.
What’s so special about the Edge Wallet?
The Edge crypto wallet supports a lot of coins that a lot of investors own. This wallet has native support for Ethereum and ERC20 tokens, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash, Bitcoin Cash, Augur REP, and Wings tokens.
The modular architecture enables safe transactions with any blockchain or token – Edge users can use an easy plugin to make their coin supported on the app.
But perhaps the most important unique feature about this wallet is this:
“And to top it off, we’re more than proud to be one of the fastest to include support for Segregated Witness (SegWit) transactions for both Bitcoin AND Litecoin! The crypto-community and our own users have been loud and clear about their support for this highly anticipated upgrade, and we’re happy to do our small but important part in scaling these networks and reducing fees for our users.”
The Edge Cryptocurrency Wallet is a Solid Choice (For Now)
This wallet app makes it easy for beginners to interact with the crypto market, and it obviously boasts a few advantages over some of its rival wallet options that are currently available to download.
The Edge cryptocurrency wallet sure isn’t the only up-and-coming coin storage venture out there – there are many firms trying to launch their own multi-coin wallets. Ethos (ETHOS), for example, is working on a wallet/exchange that may put Coinbase and Binance out of business.
But, for the time being, the Edge wallet is a solid choice that has successfully protected millions of dollars of cryptocurrency investments as Airbitz – so there is certainly a reliability factor here.
