Conferring to the tweet, Imran Khan also asked Sindh government to take severe charges against such events of kidnapping and forceful change of religion. Furthermore, in the tweet, Chaudhry said that the minorities in Pakistan signify the white portion of our flag and that their guard is our duty.
The video of the father and brother of the victims spread like fire on social media in the last two days. The video stated that the two sisters were kidnapped and enforced to change their religion to Islam from Hinduism. Though there is another video of the two girls circulating in which they spoke that they have accepted Islam with their own choice.
The two girls named Raveena (13) and Reena (15) were assertedly abducted on the Holi night by some men from their residence in district Ghotki in Sindh. Shortly after the kidnap, a video went viral on the internet which shows a Maulvi sanctifying the Nikah (marriage) of those girls.
The Ghotki’s Senior Superintendent of Police informed on Thursday to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Sindh that the two girls have accepted Islam.
Jibran Nisar, the human right worker also brought up the issue. In a video on Twitter, he stated that the sisters are aged 14 and 16 and hoisted the subject of early age marriages, as it was their first step after the conversion of religion.
